《鬼来了2》在叙事上放弃了传统恐怖片一惊一乍的廉价惊悚，转而采用层层递进的心理压迫手法。当他和朋友试图破解符咒时，身边人开始一个接一个梦见穿红嫁衣的女人，现实与幻觉的界限越来越模糊。主角Zahiril Adzim被逼到绝境时那种喉咙发紧的干笑，还有Hairul Azreen自己演的那个倒霉哥哥，每次想逞强都反而把事情搞得更糟，让你在害怕之余又忍不住替他紧张。导演Hairul擅长用日常物品制造不安——那台缝纫机的嗡鸣声、楼梯间忽远忽近的脚步声，都比鬼影本身更让人头皮发麻。小女孩Shiqin Kamal的表演也很自然，她盯着墙角说“叔叔说他想和我们做朋友”的那场戏，没有用力过猛，反而更衬出童真背后的阴森。:)。

　　Five friends, Aliff, Bariah, Talha, Jimmy and Sasha return to the old bungalow that belonged to Bariah's late grandmother and they're on a mission to search for a Japanese ghost and a Kimono ghost who appeared in Bariah's dream. The group encounter several chaotic incidents in the bungalow especially when they discover another mysterious door that is in the maid's room.
